Analysis of Samples From Supervised Residue Field TrialsAll organisations registering agrochemicals need timely and accurate data that will satisfy the requirements of the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) and other international regulatory agencies. The key to meeting deadlines for product registration is the utilisation of experienced contract field and laboratory services. Our residue laboratory is equipped with the latest technology to ensure that crucial deadlines are met. State of the art equipment includes:
Agrisearch Analytical is committed to keeping pace with developments in analytical chemistry and with changes in regulatory requirements. Agrisearch Analytical is accredited by NATA to ISO/IEC 17025 for the analysis of pesticide residues and to conduct studies in compliance with the OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice. Agrisearch can offer door to door freezer transport of samples and guarantee sample integrity and a seamless integration of the field and analytical phases of GLP studies. By using Agrisearch Analytical and Agrisearch Services for your residue and efficacy field trials you are assured of obtaining sound advice and the skills of an enthusiastic and dedicated analytical/research team committed to providing an expert service. |

Surveillance of Food for Pesticide Residues and Natural ToxinsYou are committed to providing food of consistent quality and uncompromising safety. Your customers demand nothing less. Agrisearch Analytical provides services to help you deliver "clean" food. The contamination of food with agrochemicals has been a major concern of food consumers for some years. HACCP and food safety programs are insisting that food products be monitored for pesticide contamination. But what pesticides should a food producer be testing? Agrisearch Analytical has the expertise and analytical technology to provide food producers and exporters with a comprehensive, relevant and cost effective pesticide residue testing service. Agrisearch Analytical has developed a series of robust multi-residue methods that can detect those classes of pesticides and herbicides that are potential contaminants of food or of the environment. These classes include:
Our aim is to identify the maximum number of compounds, at agreed levels of detection, at minimum cost with speedy turnaround. |

Notes on Sampling/Sub-SamplingAny analytical data is only as good as the samples and/or sub-samples that were used to produce it. It is enormously important to ensure that samples submitted for analysis are "representative" of what you want to be tested. For example, it would not be a good idea to expect a single apple from a single tree at a single point in time to represent an entire season's production from a 100 hectare orchard. Some guidelines can be found on the APVMA web site, but they cannot cover every eventuality. In the above example it would be better to pick apples from several trees over the breadth of the orchard and if necessary sub-sample them down to a manageable quantity. Or it may be beneficial to split the sampling to represent smaller plots to get an idea of the uniformity of spraying. In cases where a crop is apparently adversely affected by herbicide, it is generally preferable to include a "control" of unaffected material. Care must be exercised in this case to avoid cross-contamination by picking the "control" sample first and by double-bagging all samples prior to transport. A maximum of a kilogram of produce is a good starting point when it comes to sample size. Much more and the time/cost involved in sample preparation and sub-sampling can become prohibitive. Having prepared one or more samples for submission it is then important that samples are labelled indelibly with sufficient information to fully identify them and to include sufficient "paperwork" (a "Sample Submission Form" is available for download from our "Links" page) to enable the laboratory to know from whom the samples came and what they are to be analysed for. |

Routine and Accelerated Storage Tests on Agrochemical and Veterinary Health ProductsAgrisearch Analytical has an APVMA licence to test veterinary health products to company specifications. Agrisearch Analytical has the facilities to conduct accelerated and long-term storage stability trials on your formulated products. We are able to conduct long term storage studies in controlled temperature/humidity cabinets according to company or international protocols. The products can then be tested for active content and physical characteristics as per the APVMA Guidelines for the Generation of Storage Stability of Agricultural Products. The test data can then be collated in a report suitable for submission to the APVMA. Studies can be conducted according to the OECD Principles of GLP. |

Method Development/ValidationAgrisearch Analytical has the expertise and facilities to develop analytical test procedures to determine:
These methods can be validated to satisfy the requirements of:
The methods developed at Agrisearch Analytical are guaranteed to be reliable and rugged. |
